A warm friendly welcome awaits you from David & Jacquie at the Mount Pleasant. The traditionally built granite and slate building dates from the mid 18th century when Llanberis was a thriving slate quarrying village. Originally built for one of the slate quarry managers it has been continually modernised and has provided accommodation for visitors for more than thirty years.

The bedrooms are warm and comfortable; all have central heating, tea and coffee making facilities and most have showers or ensuite shower and toilet. The view of Llyn Padarn, Elidir Fawr and Dinorwig Quarry from the front rooms is quite magnificent.

There is a TV in the lounge, for those who wish to watch it, but as we try to encourage conversation and sociability amongst our guests most people prefer to spend their time chatting in the Bar, which is well stocked and cosy.

the bar
We have a choice of hand pumped real ale, Carling Lager and a selection of bottled beers and ciders including Becks and Bud. David has an extensive collection of single Malt Whiskies. Soft drinks, tea, coffee etc are also available. It is the ideal place to discuss the day's experiences and plan the next day's excursions.
Most of the meals we serve are home made. We have an extensive bar snack and a la Carte menu, amongst the favourites are Steak and Kidney Pie, Chilli con Carne and Lentil Casserole. We also have a 3 Course Set Evening Meal menu which changes daily - this is £15 including tea or coffee. We prepare all our meals using as much local produce as possible and can cope with most special diets. Breakfast is a substantial meal with fruit juice and cereals followed by the traditional full breakfast or a vegetarian option, served with toast, tea or fresh ground coffee.
view from the hotel
We try to run our establishment in a relaxed way and encourage our guests to feel at home. We have visited most of the local attractions and walked most of the mountains so will be pleased to help you plan your expeditions.
